We are less than ONE WEEK away from registration opening for fall programming here at Girls on the Run Memphis. This season is already shaping up to be one of the best yet for a variety of reasons. This season, we’re preparing to add three new sites to the GOTR Memphis family, and this kind of growth in access requires growth in personnel to make sure it shines. Volunteering is more important now than ever.

The past few days, Girls on the Run Memphis has been busy representing the 901 at the GOTR National Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. My experience there has truly fueled me as we continue planning for the Fall season and inspired me with ways to grow our already exceptional Memphis program.

I played sports all throughout my adolescence. Regardless of weather or distance, Papa was there with his folding chair watching my team, win or lose. 

Over here at Girls on the Run Memphis, we’re using the good weather and program break to get out into the community to spread the word about all the ways to get involved with GOTR in the fall!

When I got the call that I had been selected as the new Program Manager for Girls on the Run Memphis, the first emotion I felt was excitement. Then, I got nervous. Those emotions- and more- came to a head at my first GOTR Memphis 5K on April 28^th.
