What is a Practice 5K?

A Practice 5K is a chance for our program participants to get a taste of what the real end-of-season 5K will be like in a less crowded and more familiar environment. Coaches and Team Managers really rise to the occasion when it comes to making the Practice 5K feel extra special. Special Feature: GOTR 5K Fun Zone Activities and Guests

The Girls on the Run Memphis 5K on May 4th isn’t just a great way to get active for a good cause–it’s also a party! From 12:30PM to race start at 2PM, program participants, their families, runners, walkers, volunteers, and community champions alike are all encouraged to come celebrate girl power at our Pre-Race Fun Zone, right on the University of Memphis Alumni Mall. Health Benefits of Running a 5K

Girls on the Run’s biggest event of the Fall/Spring is the GOTR 5K at the conclusion of each season. There are many physical, emotional, and mental benefits of running a 5K that each person can take away.
